GearHead AI account deletion
GearHead AI is provided by Media Mechanic LLC. These options are available in the iOS app, Android app and on the GearHead website.
If you own the account
- and open Profile → Privacy & Safety.
- Choose Delete my account near the bottom of the tab.
- Review the scope, enter your password, type DELETE and submit.
This requests deletion of the entire account, including its users. Access is disabled immediately. GearHead’s System Super Admin receives the request and completes deletion from active systems within 30 days, with email confirmation.
If your company created your account
Staff and client accounts are provisioned and managed by the company. In Profile → Privacy & Safety, choose Request account removal, enter your password and submit. The request goes to your company administrator. Submitting it does not disable access or delete company records.
Your administrator reviews offboarding and explains the outcome, including any retained business records. Company communications may need to be preserved even after your access is removed. This request does not delete the company’s account or other users’ data.
What is deleted or retained?
Whole-account deletion covers applicable profile data, chats, saved memories, uploaded files and connected-account credentials. Backups may retain deleted data for up to 90 days. Billing/transaction records, records of the deletion request, and records required for legal obligations, fraud prevention or an active dispute may be retained. Our confirmation explains any retained records, the reason and the applicable retention period.
Deleting GearHead data does not delete originals in your connected email, calendar or other external accounts.
Cannot sign in?
Email privacy@mediamechanic.net from your account email with the subject “GearHead AI deletion request.” Do not send your password. We verify ownership before processing; company-managed requests are referred to the company administrator.
